Hello and welcome to third grade! My name is Liz Ruud and I am so excited to be your child's reading and social studies teacher this school year! I am originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I graduated from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa with a bachelors degree in elementary education and endorsements in early childhood education and reading. I have always had a passion to work with children. I believe that all children have the ability to learn and that learning should be fun! I also value social and emotional learning just as much as curriculum. I believe it is my job to teach the whole child! I have been a teacher at West Creek since 2015 and have loved it! In my spare time I enjoy spending time outside playing with my fur baby, Reggie! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. We are going to have a great year!

Welcome to Mrs. Ruud's supply list suggestions!  🙂

As we get ready to head back to school it is time to think about the supplies your child will need for a successful year in third grade! Your child will need most of the materials found on the district supply list. Below I have listed the materials from that list which your child will need for the school year. Please keep in mind that your child will have TWO teachers this year as we are departmentalized in third grade. 🙂

Thank you so much and enjoy the end of your summer break!~ Mrs. Ruud
