Coyotes School History
West Creek Elementary opened its doors in August of 2008 to help serve the children of north Clarksville. Beth Unfried took on the task of hiring a “dream team” of faculty and staff. In February of 2010, Lynne Rains, who assisted Mrs. Unfried in opening West Creek, was appointed as principal of the school, where she served until May of 2021.
In August of 2021, Melanie Steinlage became the principal, and a new twelve classroom addition of the building officially opened for students due to the school’s large enrollment. In January of 2024, Michelle Rhodehamel was named the newest principal of West Creek.
At West Creek, we believe we are #StrongerTogether. Our school has achieved numerous distinctions over the years, including being named a Reward School twice, and also being named a Tennessee Purple Star School due to our dedication and commitment to serving military-connected students and families.
Go, Coyotes!
